Tourist Attractions Thrissur Kerala  
Athirappally waterfalls is situated on the south west coast of India and this waterfalls is called as the niagra of India. Athirappalli waterfalls is on the chalakudi river and it is blessed with a wide range of flora and fauna that are endemic to the area. Four different types of hornbill are found here( hornbill, state bird of kerala). Thick lush forest and bamboo clusters are abundantly seen in athirappally area.

Shakthan Thampuran Palace
Shakthan Thampuran Palace is situated in City of Thrissur in Kerala state, India. It is named as Vadakkekara Palace, was reconstructed in Kerala-Dutch style in 1795 by Ramavarma Thampuran of the erstwhile Princely State of Cochin, well as Sakthan Thampuran is preserved by Archaeological Department. The Palace of Shakthan Thampuran located in the district of Thrissur is a landmark in the annals of the Perumpadappu Swaroopam, the former ruling dynasty of Kochi. The palace located in the heart of Thrissur town is a major attraction, especially for those with a special interest on rulers and dynasties. Peechi Dam
Peechi Dam is situated 22 km outside Thrissur city in Kerala, India. The dam was started as an irrigation project for the surrounding villages in Thrissur. At the same time, it catered the drinking water needs of the population of Thrissur City. It serves as an irrigation dam, reaching out to the paddy fields in and around Thrissur city. Built across the Manali River, the dam is a vast catchment area of nearly 3,200 acres with extensive botanical gardens and cascading fountains offer numerous inviting avenues for tourists. Chavakkad Beach
Chavakkad Beach is beach in Chavakkad Municipality of Thrissur District in Kerala State. It lies on the coast of Arabian Sea and attracts domestic tourists and local people. The beach is situated 5 Kilometers from Guruvayoor Temple Sri Krishna Temple. In this beach, the river meets the sea known as estuary. The meeting point is known as Azhimokam in Malayalam. It is counted amongst Kerala’s most popular beaches because the beach is unexplored by domestic tourists.

Thrissur Pooram
Thrissur Pooram is called 'the pooram of all poorams' (festival). It is the biggest of all poorams held in Kerala state. The Thrissur Pooram, is celebrated every year in the month of Medam (mid-April to mid-may) as per the malayalam calendar. Thekkinkadu Maidanam in the heart of Thrissur City plays host, for 36 hours from the wee hours of the pooram day, to one of the most largest collection of people and elephants. The richly decorated elephant, as seen during the Thrissur Pooram, is now globally recognised, and its association with Kerala. Thrissur, about a kilometer away and Cochin International Airport, about 58 km from Thrissur.

Athirappilly waterfalls
The Athirappilly Falls is situated 1000 ft above sea level on the Chalakudy river in Thrissur district in Kerala, India. It is located 60 km from Thrissur city, 70 km northeast of Kochi city, 55 km northeast of Cochin International Airport, and 30 km from Chalakudy town. Falling from a height of 80 feet, this is one of the largest waterfalls in the state. The journey from Chalakudy to the Athirappilly Falls passes through a landscape of winding roads, small villages and lush green trees. Visitors can reach the top of the waterfall via a paved path that leads through thick bamboo clusters. About 7 million tourists visit the falls and the Vazhachal picnic spot each year.

Vazhachal Falls
Vazhachal Falls is situated in Athirappilly Panchayath of Thrissur district in Kerala on the southwest coast of India. Located on the west-flowing Chalakudy River near the Vazhachal Forest Division and at the edge of the Sholayar ranges, it is just 5 km from entrance of Athirappilly Falls. It is located 36 km from Chalakudy. The cool spray that covers a large area near the falls makes Athirapally a scenic location. By rail: Thrissur (Major station) about 63 km & Chalakkudy, about 35 km, Cochin International Airport, about 58 km from Thrissur, is the nearest airport.

Chembai Sangeetholsavam
Chembai Sangeetholsavam is an annual Carnatic music festival held in Guruvayur by the Guruvayur Devaswom as a kind of homage to Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavatar, one of the titans of Carnatic Classical Music. About 2000-2500 musicians participate in this festival every year, and it is held for about 12-15 days culminating on the Guruvayur Ekadasi day, when all the musicians sing 5 favourite songs of Chembai and also the Pancharatna Kritis of Thyagaraja. The festival is getting more popular year after year and its scope has increased from three days in its inception to about 12-15 days now.
