The nearest railhead to both Ajanta and Ellora caves is situated at Aurangabad. Direct train link between Aurangabad and Mumbai is available as Devgiri Express and Tapovan Express run on daily basis. Direct train connection to Hyderabad is also available from the city. Sachkand Express ply in a regular basis from New Delhi and Aurangabad.
