Vagator Beach Goa - Beaches in Goa - Goa Beach Tour

Turned up 22 km from the Panaji, the Vagator beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Goa that is enclosed with soft white sand and speckled by huge black rocks, coconut & palm trees. It is famous due to its dynamic cliffs and its secluded nature. This beach is divided into two beaches named as Big Vagator and Small Vagator. Facing towards the right side of sea, there is North Vagator Beach (Big Vagator) while on the left is Ozran beach (Little Vagator). Tourists visit here to view the sunset through the rocks that is quite marvellous. It is a part of 30 km stretch of beach seashore along the west coast of Goa. It's a home to some of the popular beaches of Goa like Anjuna and Calangute, which make the place an idyllic gateway for beach lovers and newly married couples.

Following are some important things which you should do in Vagator during your visit:

Adventure Sports- This beach brings plenty of adventure activities like parasailing, jets ski's motored rides and dolphin sighting tours. Travellers can also go for trekking to reach at the top of Chapora fort. While reaching at the top, you can view beautiful scenery of Vagator and Morjim beach.

Leisure Activities- Apart from adventure activities, there are other leisure activities like sunbathing, strolling, enjoying dance & masti at night, evening shopping, sightseeing, visiting to other nearby beaches by hiring boat and many more. There are several stalls where you can buy various items like books, apparels, handicrafts, trinkets, and other food items like soft drinks, snacks, sea food, etc.

Places to Visit In and Around the Vagator Beach

On reaching Vagator beach, you should visit some sightseeing places and tourist areas that are located nearby Vagator beach.

These include:
Ozran Beach or Little Vagator- It is located towards north side of the main Vagator beach. You can visit some secluded spots and the two water springs that is known as 'Zor' located in the Ozran beach and the other one is situated at the north Vagator beach.

Anjuna Beach- This village is mostly highlighted for its beach and flea market. You'll also come across a popular church, especially dedicated to St. Miguel. It's just 4 km away from the Vagator beach and if you visit on Wednesday, then you should head towards the Anjuna beach for the flea market, where you can do lots of shopping. The market lasts from early morning till sunset and you'll get everything from rugs, clothes, jewellery, electronic items to the Buddha statues, and bags.

Chapora Beach- It is located next to Vagator beach, which is mostly famous for its captivating beach. It has black rock formations made by black lava. One of the best places to view here is the sunset and the long stretch of the beach before you that is from Chapora Fort. This fort is little steep and are the ruins of Portuguese fort.

Aguada Beach- It's a well-known beach located towards North Goa and if you want to view the natural beauty of the place, then you should come here and take the pleasure of everything. Aguada is different from other Goa beaches and it's all due to its tourist attractions. Honeymooners and beach lovers flock to experience the real charm of citadels.

Shacks around Vagator Beach - There are various eateries around the beach where you can have your favourite Goans food and drinks. There are delicious cuisines available here, which you should try once you visit here.

Few other tourist attractions located around the beach are Candolim, Mapusa, Calangute and so on.

How to Reach 
By Air- The nearest airport is at Dabolim, which is at the distance of 43 km from the Vagator beach. From the airport, you can hire taxi or car to reach the beach.

By Rail- Thivim is the nearest railhead that is 19 km away from the Vagator. Other railheads include Margao (57 km) and Vasco da Gaama.

By Road- There are several buses that run from Mapusa and Calangute to Vagator. The nearest bus station is Mapusa.
