Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary
The Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary lies in the Malappuram District, 19 km away from Kozhikode of the state of Kerala in India. It spreads over a cluster of islands where the Kadalundipuzha River flows into the Arabian Sea. The Sanctuary hill is around 200 m above sea level. It is 19 km from Kozhikode city centre. The nearest airport is Karipur International Airport, Kozhikode. The sanctuary is well known for a wide variety of fish, mussels and crabs. Kottakkal Arya Vaidyasala
Kottakkal is known for its ayurvedic institute, Arya Vaidya Sala Kottakkal, as well as its temple festival, Kottakkal Puram, celebrated over seven days during March–April months. Kottakkal is a municipal town in Malappuram district in Kerala, southern India having 32 wards. It is located 12 km south-west of Malappuram, the district headquarters, and 12 km from Tirur Railway Station. Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala (AVS) is a century old Charitable Institution engaged in the practice and propagation of Ayurveda, the ancient health care system of India. Arya Vaidya Sala offers classical Ayurvedic medicines and authentic Ayurvedic treatments and therapies to patients from all over India and abroad.

Nilambur
Nilambur is a municipality and a taluk in the Malappuram district of Kerala. Nilambur is famous for its teak plantations. The oldest teak plantation of the world, the Conolly's Plot is just 2 Kms. from Nilambur town. This plot of 2.31 Hectares, is beside the Chaliyar river at Aruvakode, where a country boat ferry is ready for visitors. The longest Hanging Bridge in Kerala, across river Chaliyar will take one to the Conolly plot, which is just 300 metres off the Calicut-Nilambur-Ooty State Highway.

Thirunavaya
Situated on the banks of the River Bharathapuzha, Thirunavaya was one of the venues for Mamangam, a grand assembly of the rulers of Kerala, held once every 12 years. This extravagant festival was conducted for the last time in 1766. Today, Thirunavaya, situated 8 km south of Tirur in Malappuram district, Kerala, is the venue for the annual Sarvodaya Mela. The Thirunavaya Navamukunda Temple is also a famous pilgrim centre Thirunavaya Railway Station is around 1.5 km away, Karipur International Airport is about 32 km away.

Ponnani
Ponnani is a coastal municipality and an important fishing center in Malappuram district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is a tidal port, mainly used by the fishing industry. It is situated at the mouth of Bharathapuzha river. Ponnani enjoyed a status as an important centre for education in the philosophy of Islam. In the early period, Ponnani was considered "the Al-Azhar University of Kerala", for its great Muslim religious schools and teachers. Ponnani was called "the small Mecca" in southern India, Malaya, Indonesia etc. Kozhikode International Airport (78 km), Railway station at Tirur (19 km).

Biyyam Kayal
Biyyam Kayal is a green fringed waterway situated near Ponnani in Malappuram District. A boat race held in its extensive stretch of water during Onam draws a large number of people from far and near. Now developed into a tourist center, the lake has a water sports facility set up by the District Tourism Promotion Council. Water sports facilities and other activities are also available here which one can enjoy. On the banks of the lake, there is also a rest house with all the facilities for the visitors to enjoy a comfortable stay.
