Malampuzha Dam
Malampuzha Dam is the largest reservoir in Kerala, located near Palakkad in south India. Malampuzha Garden is a beautifully landscaped garden on the front side of the Malampuzha Dam. It is full of lush green lawns with well laid-out flower beds. The ropeway moves across the garden giving an unforgettable aerial view of the garden. Boating Facility is available in the Garden. The dam and the garden is illuminated at nights on Weekends and Public Holidays.Location: 10 km from Palakkad town, North Kerala. Palakkad Fort
It is the fort which is situated in the middle of Palakkad town that first welcomes the tourists to this place. This fort tells the tale of many a subjugation and surrender. As per the directions of Hyder Ali, the Sultan of Mysore, the work on this fort was started in the year 1766 under the supervision of a team of French engineers. Hyder had settlements in Coimbatore, Malabar and Kochi. Nearest railway station is Palakkad about 5 km, Nearest airports are Coimbatore about 55 km in Tamilnadu State; Cochin International Airport, about 140 km towards south.

Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary
Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary is a 285 square kilometres protected area in Chittur taluk in Palakkad district of Kerala state, South India. Established in 1973, it is in the Sungam range of hills between the Anaimalai Hills and Nelliampathy Hills. Wildlife Sanctuary was declared as part of the 391 square kilometres Parambiculam Tiger Reserve on February 19, 2010. Parambikulam offers a treat for the eyes and minds of nature lovers and the two important peaks and seven valleys here are endowed with nature’s bounty. The nearest railway station is at Pollachi and the nearest airport is at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, about 40 km from Pollachi.

Silent Valley National Park
Silent Valley National Park with an area of 90 sq km is located in the Nilgiri Hills, Palakkad District in Kerala, South India. The area in this national park was historically explored in 1847 by the botanist Robert Wight, and is associated with Hindu legend. Extremely fragile, a unique preserve of tropical evergreen rain forests which is a veritable nursery of flora and fauna, some of which are found nowhere else in the world.The River Kunthi never turns brown and is always crystal clear, perennial and wild. Palakkad Railway Station is about 69 km away, Coimbatore Airport (Tamil Nadu) is about 91 km .

Kalpathy
Kalpathy also known as Dakshin Kasi or the 'Varanasi of the South is an early Tamil Brahmin settlement (agraharam) in the Palakkad District of Kerala state, south India. Kalpathi is very famous for Kalpathi Ratholsavam, Temple car festival held annually at the Sri Visalakshi Sametha Sri Viswanatha Swamy temple where the deity is Lord Siva (Lord Viswanatha). Kalpathy is located 3 km from Palakkad town and consists of Old Kalpathy and New Kalpathy. There are number of temples in Palakkad one attached to each of the 20 gramams in the town.

Fantasy Park Palakkad

Fantasy Park, located around 6 km away from Palakkad, is the first amusement park of Kerala. Spread over an area of around 60702.84 sq m, the park is divided into three main areas namely the dry park, the wet park and the planetarium. Situated in the vicinity of Malampuzha, the park serves as an ideal weekend getaway and picnic spot. he park is located in the enchanting backdrop of the mountain ranges of Malampuzha with the majestic mountain peaks of the Western Ghats overlooking it. Seethargundu viewpoint
Seethargundu viewpoint is situated in the Western Ghats of Nelliyampathy at a distance of 8 km. Known for its panoramic views, Seethargundu can be reached by road from Palakkad via Nelliyampathy. Seethargundu estate is one of the best organic farms, cultivating tea and coffee. Mampara, Padagiri, Kesavpara and Pothundy reservoirs are some of the near by attractions worth visiting. In the vicinity is the Seethargundu falls which tumbles down from a height of 100 ft amid the green foliage.
