THUSHARAGIRI WATERFALLS
Thusharagiri Waterfalls is beautiful waterfall positioning itself in the Kodencherry village of Kozhikode district in the Indian state of gods own country Kerala. As the name mean, land and water have smitten an exceptional relationship at this place. The name itself means mist capped peaks i.e. mountains covered with snow. Two streams breeding from the Western Ghats come together to form the Chalippuzha River. The river deflects into three wandering waterfalls composing a snow-clad mist which gives the name Thusharagiri to this waterfall. Thenpara Waterfall falls from an altitude of 75 m (246 ft) making it the highest waterfall of the three.

Trekking and Rock climbing at Thusharagiri Fall:
It is a well renowned place for trekking and rock climbing. Trekkers and rock climbers have to begin their venture early in the daylight from the second water fall on the hills mount on through the primeval crowded evergreen forests swarming with the unusual birds and animals to conquer Vythiri in Wayanad district by evening. Lodging and fooding facility is not available in a great extent in the area of the waterfall but one can choose to stay in a hotel of a nearby city. For shopping purposes one can go to nearby cities like Kodencherry which is positioned at 11 km from the outskirts of this place, Thiruvambady at 18 and Kozhikode at 50 km.
Three Falls
Of the three Thusharagiri waterfalls, the highest waterfall is the Thenpara that falls from an altitude of 75 metres. Situated at Kodencherry in Kozhikode district, the plantation destination that abounds in rubber, arecanut, pepper, ginger and spices is also a trekkers delight. Trekkers can start early morning from the second waterfalls at the hills and climb up through the pristine dense evergreen forests teeming with exotic birds and animals to reach Vythiri and Waynad district by evening. There is a dam located around 45 km from Calicut.
The place Thusharagiri offers challenging trekking and rock-climbing activity through the river path and numerous waterfalls. There is another dam located at 60 km from Calicut. It is a place of beauty, calm, and serenity. The place also has a crocodile farm run by the state forest department.

By Road: The nearest road head Kodencherry bus station is at 11 km you can also hire a taxi or an auto rickshaw to reach to your targeted place.
By Rail: Nearest Railway station is Kozhikode Railway Station is at 75km and 60 km respectively at Kozhikode.
By Air: The nearest airport is Kozhikode International Airport .

This place can be visited at any time in a year as it never remains dry out but the best time to visit is from September to December. Travelers coming to this place should know that monsoon is not an ideal time.
