Snake Park Parassinikkadavu, Parassinikkadavu Snake Park

Parassinikkadavu Snake Park - Location: Parassinkkadavu about 16 km from Kannur town, Kannur district, north Kerala. Parassinikkadavu Snake Park is committed to the protection and conservation of snakes, like most species of reptiles are threatened with extinction. There are about 150 varieties of snakes including the spectacled bear Cobra, King Cobra, Russell Viper, Krait and Pit Viper living in the park. Parassinikkadavu is also known for the famous temple Muthappan. This is the only temple in Kerala where a Theyyam performance is a daily ritual offering.Parassinikkadavu Snake Park - 

Nearest airport: Karipur International Airport, Kozhikode about 93 km from Kannur. The park contains a wide variety of snakes and other small animals, including glasses Eider Cobra, King Cobra, Russell's viper, Krait and various snakes. There is also a large collection of non-poisonous snakes, including pythons. The park is dedicated to the conservation of snakes, many species that are gradually becoming extinct.
