Parassinikkadavu Snake Park
The Parassinikadavu Snake Park is one of the major attractions of Kannur District itself. The park houses a variety of snakes and other small animals, is the only one of its kind in the State and perhaps the whole of India. The park is dedicated to the preservation and conservation of snakes, most of which are becoming extinct gradually. There is a large collection of poisonous and non-poisonous snakes. Location: Parassinikadavu, 20 kms north of Kannur, Nearest Railway Station: Pappinissery, Nearest Airports: Mangalore(100 kms), Kozhikode (140 kms).

Dharmadam Island
Dharmadam Island (Green Island) is a small 2 hectare private island in Thalassery, Kannur District, Kerala. It lies 100 metres from the mainland at Dharmadam. This island, covered with coconut palms and dense bush is a beautiful sight from the Muzhappilangad beach. During low tide, one can walk out to it from the beach.

Muzhappilangad Drive-in Beach
Muzhappilangad Drive-in Beach (4 km length)is a beach in the state of Kerala in southwestern India. It is located parallel to National Highway 66 between Kannur and Thalassery. Muzhappilangad Drive-in Beach .This beach is the largest Drive-In Beach in Asia. Even though Goa has many beautiful beaches, it does not have a Drive-in beach. Adventure sports like paragliding, parasailing and microlite flights are possible at the Muzhappilangad Beach in Thalassery. Other attractions include water sports, power boating or a simple catamaran ride. Nearest railway stations are Thalassery, about 7 km; Kannur, about 16 km, Nearest airport is Karipur International Airport, via Edapally - Panvel Hwy, about 102 km.

Payyambalam beach
Payyambalam beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Kerala. Here rest the brave nationalist and political leaders like Swadeshabhimani K. Ramakrishna pilla, A.K.G. and Chadayan Govindan. This is two kms away from Kannur town and near the St. Angelos Fort. This beach, having laterite rock jutting out into the sea on one end, is a neat and long one which is a relief to the tourists who seek rest away from the modern city life. A footpath has been brick-laid between the guesthouse and the lighthouse from where sunset can be enjoyed and the beauty of Dharmadom Island towards the south and the headquarters of Ezhimala Navel Academy towards the north can be seen.

Fort St. Angelo
Facing the sea, this is one of the most attractive centers in Kannur district in Kerala. It is also known as Kannur Fort. This fort is 3 kms away from Kannur town in the western direction. The fort stands close by the Arabian Sea. This fort proclaims the strength and beauty of Portuguese architecture. The two sides of the fort facing the sea was built in a triangular shape. It was Don Francisco De Almeida, the first Portuguese Viceroy, who laid the foundation stone of this fort with the permission of Kolathiris in 23 October 1505.

Thalassery Fort
This fort which had witnessed many ebbs and tides of history is of much importance to tourists who are interested in historical events. The fort is situated in the Thiruvallippad hill of Thalassery town, 20 kms away from Kannur in the south direction. It was constructed by the British East India Company in the year 1708. this fort has to tell many stories of the victory and defeat of Kalathiri, Tippu Sultan and Pazhassi Raja. This fort is built of red bricks in an area of two acres.

Pazhassi Dam
Pazhassi Dam is a dam in Kannur district, Kerala. It is constructed across the Valapattanam River near Kuyiloor. It was commissioned by Prime Minister Morarji Desai in 1979. It mainly serves as an irrigation dam, reaching out to most of the Kannur District. The water from this dam also meets the drinking water requirement of Kannur district. It is located 11 km away from the birthplace of legendary king Pazhassi Raja. So the dam is named after him. The dam site and the reservoir are famous for its scenic beauty.
